A Multitel MZ250 half-day hire of up to 4 hours is £310 and a full day of up to 8 hours is £495. Additional hours are charged at £60 per hour. Saturday and Sunday hires, and any night shift, are charged at 1.5× the standard weekday rate. The first hour of travel each way is included; beyond that, travel time is charged at £30 per half hour. The Hinowa 20.10 tracked spider platform is priced on request.

The Multitel MZ250 has a working height of 25.10 m — about 82 feet — with the platform floor at 23.10 m. That reaches the gutters and roof of most three- and four-storey buildings. The Hinowa 20.10 tracked spider platform reaches 20.15 m — about 66 feet — with 9.70 m of horizontal outreach and a 230 kg basket, and it goes where a truck cannot. Usually yes — that is what the Hinowa 20.10 tracked spider platform is for. With its tracks drawn in it is 795 mm wide, narrow enough to pass through most standard gateways, side passages and double doorways, and it is 5.01 m long and 1.99 m high in transport. It drives itself into position on rubber tracks, climbs slopes of up to 16 degrees, and spreads its weight far better than a truck, so it can cross lawns, gravel and block paving.
Once in place it sets up on four outriggers within an area of roughly 2.92 m by 2.93 m and then reaches 20.15 m up and 9.70 m out, with a basket that rotates through 124 degrees for working into awkward corners. Those two numbers — 795 mm to get in, 2.92 m square to stand — are the ones worth measuring before you call.

Outreach depends on what the basket is carrying. With 80 kg in it — one operator and light tools — the Multitel MZ250 reaches out 14.35 m. With the full basket capacity of 250 kg — two people plus equipment — the outreach is 10.35 m. The basket measures 1.40 m by 0.70 m with a 1.10 m guardrail, and the boom rotates through 400 degrees, so we can usually work several faces of a building from a single set-up. The maximum basket load is 250 kg and our operator always travels in the basket.
Travel is made up of two separate parts — mileage and the operator’s time. Both are worked out in advance and set out in your quotation before you commit to anything.
Mileage. The first 25 miles from our Trowbridge depot are included in the hire rate. Beyond that we charge 95p per mile on the excess only, counted for the round trip. A site 76 miles away is 51 miles over the limit, so 51 × 95p × 2 = £96.90.
Travel time. The first hour of driving each way is included. Beyond that the operator’s time is charged at £30 per half hour, each way, rounded up to the next half hour — that is £60 an hour, the same rate as additional hours on site. Because it is charged in both directions, every extra half hour of driving beyond the first hour adds £60 to the job.
